Minseo, a product manager from a beauty technology brand in Seoul, South Korea, contacted Lanjin LED while developing a new-generation home-use LED light therapy mask.

 

Despite strong market demand, her team was facing several critical challenges:

✔ Engineering Analysis Starting from Optical Structure

Minseo shared the internal structure drawings of the mask with us.
The engineering team at Lanjin LED immediately conducted a full optical and thermal analysis.

We identified several root causes:

  1. High thermal resistance of the previously used LEDs
  2. Overly wide beam angles leading to light energy dispersion
  3. Insufficient reflectivity inside the optical cavity
  4. Inconsistent therapeutic wavelength output

 

Instead of simply replacing components, Lanjin’s engineers approached this as a system-level redesign.

 


 

After evaluation, we recommended the following solution:

 

Recommended Model

  1. 3535 RGBW Flip-Chip LED, 12V with IC
  2. Precisely controlled therapeutic wavelengths
  3. Low thermal resistance
  4. Narrow BIN selection for color consistency

Using optical simulation, we further optimized:

  1. LED placement angles
  2. Spacing between LEDs
  3. Reflective cavity structure
  4. Brightness compensation strategy for uniform output

To support Minseo’s R&D decision, Lanjin LED also provided:

  1. Thermal imaging comparisons
  2. Light uniformity test photos
  3. Spectral wavelength test reports(especially critical for blue and red light therapy)

After reviewing the results, Minseo said:

“This looks like a completely different product. The improvement is very clear.”

 


 

After launch, the upgraded LED therapy mask achieved strong market success.

 

Measured improvements included:

  1. Significantly reduced heat generation
  2. Nearly 35% brightness increase
  3. Over 2× improvement in light uniformity
  4. Improved user comfort and safety perception

Today, Lanjin LED is the core LED supplier for three of the brand’s product lines, supporting both current production and future development.
